1993 Grand Banks 46

This is a 1993 Grand Banks 46 Classic of exceptional quality.

With new stainless steel fuel tanks, recent full suite of electronics, all teak decks replaced in 2021 and recent replacement of Bimini cover, this boat represents excellent value.

If you have been considering a Grand Banks or similar, this is one to look at very carefully. At 46 feet, this is bigger than most, yet with the twin engines and bow and stern thrusters is a delight to handle in any conditions. Twin engines and long keel make manoeuvring easy, and the thrusters assist final positioning for berthing.

'Unreal' is a classic Grand Banks 46, with a huge saloon and flybridge, a large “V”berth in the forward cabin, forward head with full size shower and basin, aft cabin with double and single berths, hanging locker and huge storage, and aft ensuite. The galley is “down” on the port side, leaving the saloon open and airy, with an L shaped settee, two captains swivel chairs, two beautiful tub chairs, a wet bar with ice maker, and a wall mounted television over a roll door cabinet.

Concealed behind doors in the forward cabin is the laundry with front loading washing machine and a tumble dryer. All seats have been beautifully reupholstered. Forward and aft cabins and the main saloon each have air conditioning for heating and cooling.

The fuel tanks were replaced with stainless steel tanks in 2021. While that was being done, both engines were removed and the cooling systems completely stripped and rebuilt to ensure longevity for the reliable 375hp Caterpillar 3208 engines. The engine room presents as new, and is monitored with 4 cameras. The Caterpillar engines and Onan genset have been meticulously serviced since the refit and have been totally reliable. The teak decks, both below and on the flybridge, were replaced at the time of the refit. A full suite of Raymarine instruments, including 12’’ Hybridtouch screens, autopilot, AIS, Doppler radar and VHF radio, was installed at the same time. All instruments are duplicated at the flybridge helm. An aluminium hull AB rib with 10hp Tohatsu outboard is cradled on the aft deck with an electric Davit for easy launching and retrieval.

This boat has been meticulously looked after and maintained by its fastidious owner who has spent the time and money required to ensure the boat has been kept in excellent seaworthy condition and able to make voyages, whether near or far in absolute comfort and safety.

If you are looking for an excellent live aboard vessel that is a capable blue water cruiser then this is one to be considered seriously.
