1993 Beneteau First 45F5 - SISTERSHIP PHOTOS
This is a 2 X CABINS and 2 X HEADS Version with in-mast mainsail furler and headsail furler with downwind running rigging with spinnaker sail.
This First 45F5 has had many upgrades throughout its years of sailing, including more recently standing rigging replaced 3 years ago and decent electronics.
The First 45F5 was born by the combination of 3 of the world's most famous names in yachting and designing: Bruce Farr, Pininfarina and Beneteau.
Over 220 units built of this fast performance yacht which has been seen sailing in France, US West and East coast, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Caribbean Sea.
The Pininfarina deck shows exceptionally smooth lines provide very low windage. The entire profile of the deck flows in an almost unbroken clean line from the short foredeck down to the tip of the transom . The hull designed by Bruce Farr has a bow with minimal overhang and a fine entry quickly fairing into U-shaped sections then rounding towards amidships and slightly flattening out towards the stern. The keel is a high aspect ratio fin with both leading and trailing edges curved.
True to Farr's origins, the rig is a fractional sloop with a short 15-foot J dimension. The spreaders are swept aft and no runners or checkstays are drawn.
